This is how we protect your data

The GEMA Online Portal meets all current security standards and thus protects sensitive data from unauthorised access. Most recent example: We introduced the two-factor authentication (optional for music users). In addition to your e-mail address and your password, you enter a second factor when you log on, just like you do for your online banking. This can be a code that you can get in an email or generate by using an app on your smartphone or computer.

You can access the portal from your desk, your sofa and when you’re on the road. No matter what end device you are using.

Whether you are sitting at your desk or in front of your computer, lounging on the settee with your tablet or sitting on a train with your smartphone: You can access and use our Online Portal with any end device. Give it a try.

How to register on our Online Portal

In the login screen, you complete all fields and select the role GEMA member. Once you submitted the data, you receive an email within a few minutes to the email address you provided. Click on the link in the email and create a password. If your password meets all the requirements you can save it. Your online account is now active– you can login now.

So that you to can access specific online services, please submit the activation form.  It is displayed as soon as you select a service such as the  GEMA Download. Once your account has been activated, you can use the relevant online services. Watch our video for further information on how to register on the Online Portal. 

Register as a music user with your first and last name and your email address.  We will send you an e-mail with a confirmation link. Follow the link, set your personal password and log on.

In order to link your customer details with your Online Portal account, please enter your customer number and the code you have been provided with. If you have not received a code by post yet, please request this in the Online Portal once you have entered your customer number and an invoice or contract number. We post the code to your main/standard address. There is more on how to register in this video.
