Dr. Tobias Holzmüller

Dr. Tobias Holzmüller has headed GEMA's legal department since 2013 and was appointed Managing Director of ZPÜ [Zentralstelle für private Überspielungsrechte] in 2016. He was responsible for decisive contracts and legal decisions such as the foundation of the joint venture ICE with the sister societies PRS for Music and STIM as well as the participation in the digital distribution service Zebralution. In the course of the modernization of copyright law, he played a decisive role in the creation and implementation of the DSM Directive, which GEMA actively promoted in Berlin and Brussels. Previously, he worked as a lawyer at Gleiss Lutz.
