• How much do the workshops and webinars cost?

  As a GEMA member, you can participate in our webinars free of charge.
  
  For special workshops with external speakers, there is a fee depending on the topic and length of the event. In these cases, we clearly indicate the costs.

• Do you stream workshops?

  Webinars are usually recorded and made available to participants for a period of 4 months via a link sent to them.

• Do the face-to-face workshops for GEMA members take place throughout Germany?

  Face-to-face workshops are currently held exclusively at the GEMA regional offices in Berlin and Munich. Plans are in place to extend these to other major German cities, although a firm timetable has not yet been finalised. Alongside the in-person workshops, we offer online webinars for members several times a week, which are accessible nationwide. Members can find information on current dates and how to register via the secure members’ area on gema.de and via the email newsletter. 

• Are the same topics covered more than once in the GEMA workshops?

  Yes, many topics are covered multiple times. We offer GEMA-internal topics regularly, several times a year. We repeat topics featuring external speakers if there is sufficient demand.

• Will I receive the presentation documents?

  In the case of face-to-face workshops, you will receive the documents directly as a handout if one is provided for the event.
  In the case of webinars, these will usually be sent to you by email afterwards, provided you have attended the event.

• I have registered for a workshop or webinar but cannot attend. Do I have to cancel my registration?

  Please cancel your booking for any workshops or webinars you have booked so that your place can be made available to other participants. If you booked via events.gema.de, please cancel your booking directly on that platform. If it is not technically possible to cancel online, please send an email with your booking number to gemaplus@gema.de. There is no cancellation deadline, but cancelling early allows for optimal planning of the event. 
   

• Who can GEMA members or speakers contact with ideas and requests for new workshops or webinars?
  Write to us at gemaplus@gema.de. Please let us know your topic as a speaker. We look forward to your suggestions!
• Which webinar tool does GEMA use and what technical requirements do I need to participate?

  We use Microsoft Teams for our webinars. You can find the system requirements on this Microsoft Teams Support Page.
