How long will compensation payments continue under the discontinued estimation procedure (editor/arranger estimation)?
The estimation procedure was conducted for the last time in 2023. In this context, compensation payments will be made together with the distribution payouts on October 1, 2024, October 1, 2025, and October 1, 2026. Further details can be found in the Rules of Procedure for the Distribution Process in Entertainment and Dance Music.
The new regulations governing the participation of arrangers of protected works in reproduction rights have been set out in Section 6 (4) of the Distribution Plan and apply from the 2023 financial year onward. Further information is available in the information sheet.
