How do I know which GEMA tariff is the right one?

Your GEMA tariff depends on several factors: for example, the type of music use (e.g. live event, background music, online streaming), the size of the event or venue, the turnover generated or the scope of the event, or the duration and frequency of music use.

There are two ways to determine your tariff:

1. Either use the GEMA price calculator
2. or visit our ‘Tariff Overview’ page. In the left-hand column, you will find the type of music use – on the right, you can then select the specific category. Once you have selected the category, you can download the relevant questionnaire. By providing the details in the questionnaire, you will be assigned the correct tariff.
