Supported foundations
Franz-Grothe-Stiftung
The foundation was established by the composer and pianist Franz Grothe (1908-1982) in 1960 in Bad Wiessee. Its goal is to support competent and needy composers, professional musicians and music students and to preserve the memory of Franz Grothe.
The Advisory Board decides on the allocation of foundation funds in two meetings per year (May and November). The relevant applications must be submitted on time and contain exact project descriptions. There is no legal claim to receive subsidies.
Versorgestiftung (welfare foundation) of German composers
The foundation aim is to support needy composers or their widows in cases of illness, accident or economic hardship by way of benefits. The foundation exclusively pursues mere charitable and non-profit purposes.
