Whether you are a creator (composer/lyricist) or a music publisher: You want to earn money with your work and for this, you might want to check out our live calculator to make sure a GEMA membership is worth your while. Afterwards you simply complete a membership application and once we checked everything, you’ll get your Deed of Assignment. Just sign it and there you go: Welcome to GEMA, you are now a member!

Whether on the radio, online, at concerts and clubs or in restaurants: It’s always a special feeling hearing your own creation played in public. To ensure your royalties go straight into your pocket, usages of your titles are directly reported to us or identified by us.

Receive your payments
The payouts of your hard-earned royalties are scheduled on fixed dates spread across the year. This shall ensure that cash is flowing to your account as regularly as possible. The more your titles are played or used, the higher the royalties are. How much you are due as a creator or music publisher in detail is governed by the GEMA distribution plan.

If you think a payout is not quite right or the music usages reported to us do not match your own records, you can simply submit a claim. The most comfortable way to let us know is via our Online Portal. Once you submit the required details of your claim, we will take care of your case and inform you accordingly.
