Payment schedule for 2022
In order to ensure a regular flow of income, GEMA pays its collections out at regular distribution dates spread over the whole year. The dates depend on the distribution category.
Are you a new member? Then you get your first distribution of royalties in the following year.
We distribute the royalty revenue of the financial year 2021 at following dates:

The date for the supplementary distribution in GOP & GOP VR for the financial year 2020 has been postponed from 1 December 2021 to 1 January 2022. Reason are professional and technical adjustments due to the pandemic. The amounts will still be paid out in 2021.
* Without surcharges for statutory remuneration rights. The revenues collected arising from statutory remuneration rights during the 2021 financial year will be paid out separately with effect from 1 April 2022. This will be done in the form of a supplement to the payouts for the 2020 financial year in the relevant categories.
** International income (both rights) is paid out on an ongoing basis upon receipt on the first day of each quarter. Pay-out details including country specifications are available on the GEMA homepage and in virtuos (GEMA magazine).
***In the categories MOD D, MOD D VR, MOD S, MOD S VR, VOD D, VOD D VR, VOD S, VOD S VR, GOP, GOP VR, the income from the rights will be distributed on an ongoing basis on 1 April and 1 October, depending on the receipt of payment and the processing of usage reports. Information on the distributions with details of the licensees and periods of use can be found on the GEMA homepage and in virtuos (GEMA magazine).
